# Oracle Blockchain Platform

CereBree's HealthTech vertical runs on Oracle Blockchain Platform (OBP). This is not a speculative use of blockchain. It is a direct response to a structural problem in healthcare: sensitive data needs to move between institutions, but no party trusts another enough to allow it.

OBP provides the trust layer that makes this possible. It is an enterprise-grade, permissioned blockchain service managed through Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. It is not a public chain. It is not a cryptocurrency infrastructure. It is a data integrity and consent management layer purpose-built for regulated industries.

In HealOpera, OBP handles five functions:

* **Decentralised Identity**. Patients, clinicians, and facilities each have a DID (Decentralised Identifier) with Verifiable Credentials for licences, roles, and privileges. One identity layer across hospitals. No duplicate onboarding. Reduced fraud.
* **Consent management**. Smart contracts govern data sharing with defined scope, purpose, expiry, and revocation. A patient consents to share imaging data with a specific researcher for a specific study for a specific duration. That consent is enforced programmatically, not administratively.
* **Immutable records**. Every clinical event, diagnostic output, treatment recommendation, and AI-generated assessment is logged on-chain. Records cannot be altered after the fact. This is critical for regulatory compliance and research integrity.
* **Offchain vaults with on-chain proofs**. Sensitive health information is stored offchain. Hashes, provenance records, and access logs are anchored on-chain. This keeps data private while enabling tamper-proof verification across institutions.
* **Workflow ledger**. Orders, approvals, handoffs, board decisions, and clinical events are logged immutably through HealOpera's workflow engine.

OBP is also the foundation for clinical trial support within HealOpera. Eligibility proofs use selective disclosure so patients can demonstrate they meet trial criteria without exposing their full record. Consent and chain-of-custody are tracked on-chain.

Blockchain in CereBree is not limited to HealthTech in its design. The integration outcomes extend across the ecosystem. In DeepTech, employment identity, verifiable skill passports, and on-chain reputation signals are supported through the same architectural pattern. In PeopleTech, learning credentials, adaptive learning integrity logs, and cross-platform portability of records are issued as verifiable credentials. But the live implementation today is in HealOpera.
